Jeremiah Arrested for Preaching

Today I read Jeremiah 26 where Jeremiah is put on trial for preaching ill against the city.  The entire time I was reading this, I could not help but think about how grateful I am to live in America where we have freedom of speech.  I could not even imagine getting in trouble with the leaders of the country just for saying something they don't like.  Such an idea is crazy to me.  I am very, very happy that the Lord helped shape America and influenced the founding fathers of this nation to ensure the freedoms necessary for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be restored.  I could not even imagine living anywhere else, I am thankful for all the wonderful freedoms I enjoy living here.  Until tomorrow.
