God is a God at Hand

Today I read Jeremiah 23 and I really liked verse 23 which says, "Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off?".  So many critics of there being a God state that God has abandoned us to our own devices and why would he leave us all alone like this?  God, by His own mouth, has not abandoned us, but rather has stayed close by and closely monitored our doings.  Like the good Father that He is, He watches us, but allows us to fall at times.  He stays involved in our lives and helps us to reach our potential.  People who think God created all of us and then moved on, do not understand the nature of God.  They do not understand all that God has done for them in their lives.  One day they will.  They will stand before God and see that He never abandoned them, but was right there with them all the time.  President Benson said that nothing will surprise us more than how familiar Heavenly Father's face is to us when we see Him again.  I look forward to that day!  Until tomorrow.
