The Jews are Not Distracted

Today I read Ezra 4 where the enemies of God are trying to frustrate the work of God by trying to sabotage the building of the temple and Jerusalem herself.  But the people of Judah were smart and would not let them assist when they posed as helpful seekers of Heavenly Father.  So the saboteurs wrote instead to the new king of Persia to get them to stop building Jerusalem.  Unfortunately they accomplished their design and production on the temple was halted.  However I have to say that this generation of Jews is much smarter than those of previous generation.  It could be because each of these Jews chose to come back to Jerusalem from Persia to rebuild the temple so they are really committed to doing what is right.  Whatever the reason, they give a good example to follow for us.  When you are committed to the work, don't let anyone distract you.  A good lesson for all of us.  Until tomorrow.
